Here's an excellent recipe I use -
1 cup all purpose flour
4 medium size kittens, skinned and cleaned
1 1/2 cups oats (uncooked oatmeal)
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cup corn meal
4 T garlic powder
1/2 cup oat bran
1/3 cup olive oil
3 T honey
1 egg
1 1/4 cups chicken, beef or vegetable stock or broth
Preheat oven to 300掳 F. Grease (or line with parchment paper) 2 large cookie sheets. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add the egg, oil and stock. Bone kittens and finely dice or mince the meat. Mix into bowl with other ingredients to form a soft dough that is firm enough to roll out. On a floured surface roll out dough to about 1/2 inch in thickness. Cut into desired shapes and place about 1 inch apart on the prepared cookie sheet. Bake for two hours, then turn the oven off and let the biscuits sit for several hours until oven is completely cool in order to dry and harden them. Store at room temperature for several months.

Yes hear
Liver %26amp; Chicken Brownies
Description: Soft chewy brownies that are completely healthy. Great for dogs with allergies to wheat or corn.
Prep Time: 15
Cook Time: 15
Temperature: 325
Ingredients: 3 cups of liver (fresh beef)
1 cup of chicken hearts (do NOT substitute gizzards!)
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of Lecithin (from soy) make sure its granulated or powdered
1 tablespoon of Glucosamine (optional-approximately 10 caplets)
1/2 cup of ground flaxseed (from health food store-you can also use whole seeds).
Cooking Directions: Put all ingredients except flaxseed in food processor (or blender) and puree for about 2 minutes, slowly add the flaxseed. The mixture will be like cake batter. Spread evenly in an un-greased cookie sheet with sides, it should be about 1/4 inch thick. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until moist but springy to the touch in a 350 degree oven. Cool and cut into 1 1/2'; x 1/1/2'; squares.
Tips: They freeze well, but probably won't last long enough for you to even bother! Should be kept in refrigerator though. The nutritional value in this recipe is perfect for dogs. The chicken hearts are loaded with protein, and the liver is high in iron and adds flavor. The garlic is a natural flea preventative, and the Lecithin eliminates tear stains. The Glucosamine helps regenerate cartilage and bone (perfect for either an aging or young dog), and the eggs promote a healthy and shiny coat.
heres some easy recipes
1.Dog treats found in stores can be filled with empty carbs and chemicals. If you want a healthy treat for your dog, here is a simple recipe to make 36 Banana Pupcakes.
Steps [edit]Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease 36 mini-muffin pan cups.
Use a blender to grind 1 1/2 c. oatmeal into a powder. Mix oatmeal, 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour and 1 T. baking powder in a small bowl.
Place 3 bananas, 1 t. vanilla and 3 t. honey in blender, process, add 2 c. water slowly.
Pour liquid mixture gradually into bowl of dry ingredients, beating well.
Spoon batter into prepared pan, filling cups to the rim.
Bake until done, 20-25 minutes.
Transfer muffins to a wire rack to cool.
Tips [edit]If you use an aluminum pan, the muffins will bake faster than in a darker metal pan.
Check muffins after baking 15 minutes. The muffins are small. Depending on your oven, they may be done baking in 15-20 minutes.
Refrigerate or freeze pupcakes so they'll last longer.
Warnings [edit]Allow pupcakes to cool before tossing one to your dog.
Pupcakes are treats! Don't over-indulge your four-legged friends. One or two pupcakes a day for a small dog or four for a large dog is plenty.
You can use regular flour, but whole wheat is recommended.
Things You'll Need [edit]1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 1/2 whole wheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
3 bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 teaspoons honey (optional)
2 cups water
2.These chicken and cheddar treats are a fan-favorite. Your dog will do anything to get his paws on one of them because they are healthy, and tasty.
Steps [edit]Preheat the oven. Preheat your oven to 200掳C or 400掳F, Gas Mark 6.
Boil the chicken. Place a pan of water on a high heat and add 200g of chicken. Boil for about 15 minutes until cooked all the way through.
Shred the chickenShred the chicken. Tear the chicken into small pieces that you will be able to fold into your dough.
CombineMix well using your hands until the ingredients have combined and have formed a dough. If the dough is too thick, add a little more chicken stock or water and stir again. If it is too sticky add some more flour. In a bowl, combine all of these ingredients:
the shredded chicken
400 grams of whole-wheat flour
100 grams of grated cheddar cheese
200 millilitres of chicken stock or water
60 millilitres vegetable oil
and 1 egg
Cut them outRoll the dough and cut out the cookies. Roll out the dough to the thickness you desire and cut out as many biscuits as you can being careful not to waste too much of the dough. It's up to you how big or small you make the treats. Larger dogs prefer bigger, thicker biscuits with a more satisfying crunch, whereas smaller dogs won't be able to fit their jaws around big biscuits. Make the biscuits whatever size and shape is best for your dog.
BakeBake. Grease a baking tray with a little butter. Lay the biscuits on the tray and place in the oven which has been preheated at 200掳C , for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Cool. Remove the treats from the oven and allow them to cool at room temperature.
Serve. These treats will keep for up to a month if you store them in an air-tight container, or longer when kept in the fridge.
Serve to dog!
Tips [edit]If you don't want to make a big batch of biscuits now, take as much as you need, place the rest in a freezer bag and freeze. This will keep for up to 2 months. The next time your dog deserves a treat, defrost a portion and cook as normal.
Return to the oven while it is cooling down for a further 2 hours to harden the biscuits and give them an extra crunchy texture.
Warnings [edit]Make sure none of the kids or anyone else gets a hold of these - they won't taste good and aren't that healthy.
Things You'll Need [edit]14 oz whole-wheat flour
7 oz cooked chicken
3 陆 oz grated cheddar cheese
6 戮 fl oz chicken stock or water
1 egg
2 fl oz vegetable oil
butter
1 bowl
1 freezer bag
1 rolling pin
1 biscuit cutters
1 baking tray
3.Making your own dog food requires a simple mix of meat, vegetables and starches.
There are so many different kinds of dog food, but give your dog the best kind; homemade!Steps [edit]Know that it is wise to check with your vet before switching to homemade dog food.
Understand that dogs need a diet that consists of 40 percent meat, 30 percent vegetables and 30 percent starch. Follow this formula to ensure that your dog has a well-balanced diet.
Cook meat before feeding it to your dog.
Realize that organ meat (such as liver, kidneys, etc.) and eggs are very good for your dog.
Consider the fact that many experts believe commercial dog food is actually unhealthy for dogs. Often the meat that is used in dog food is of a quality considered unfit for humans.
Try making a mixture of ground turkey, rice and carrot for your own dog food. Meals made of ground beef, brown rice, brewer's yeast and carrots are also popular.
Rotate the foods you feed your dog so that the dog gets a variety of foods.
Use oatmeal, pasta, rice or potatoes for your dog's starch requirement.
Grind eggshells and add this to your dog's meal. Eggshells have a lot of nutrients.
Keep cooked dog food in the refrigerator no longer than three days.
Tips [edit]When you first switch to homemade dog food, try mixing commercial dog food to the food you have prepared to help your dog make the transition.
Be aware that not all human foods are beneficial to your dog. For example, regular consumption of bacon can easily lead to pancreatitis. Also, many dogs (like most mature mammals) are intolerant of dairy products due to the presence of lactose. For this reason, dairy products remain one of the three most common allergens. Know your dog's limits and feed accordingly.
Warnings [edit]Its important to make sure your proportions are right to your dog. 75 protein 25 vegetable/starch is optimal for a healthy dog. There are modifications for overweight or with health issues. A good dog vitamin is critical with calcium (unless you offer it in foods: tricky as they could be fattening)
Always check with your veterinarian before you embark on any homemade diet.

Mix together. Use your hands to mix until the ingredients have combined to form a dough.
Roll the dough. Roll out the dough to the thickness you desire and cut out as many biscuits as you can being careful not to waste too much of the dough. Larger dogs will prefer larger, thicker biscuits with a more satisfying crunch, whereas smaller dogs won't be able to fit their jaws around big biscuits.
Bake. Grease a baking tray with a little butter. Lay the biscuits on the tray and place in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
