I need a recipe that you don't have to add butter in...If possible. I don't have any butter.Does anyone know any quick and easy biscuit recipes?
Easy Biscuit Mixture

INGREDIENTS:
10 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup baking powder
1/4 cup white sugar 2 teaspoons salt
2 cups shortening
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

2 1/4 cups baking mix (recommended: Bisquick)
3 ounces prosciutto, finely chopped
2/3 cup cream
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Extra-virgin olive oil
Grated Parmesan
Preheat over to 450 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl, combine baking mix, prosciutto, cream and black pepper; stir until just combined.
Knead dough 10 times on lightly floured surface and form into ball. Roll dough out into 1/2-inch thick. Cut with a 2 1/4-inch round cutter, pressing straight down; do not twist cutter.
Place biscuits on ungreased baking sheet. Lightly brush tops with oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
HOMEMADE BISCUIT MIX
Basic Mix:
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups cake flour
1/4 cup baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 lb. Crisco
Sift together flours, baking powder and salt. 1 well combined, cut in Crisco using paddle attachment of mixer.
Store in refrigerator for up to one month. Can be used as a substitute whenever biscuit mix is called for in a recipe.
Biscuits:
2 cups basic mix
7/8 cup milk or half and half
Measure 2 cups of basic mix into a bowl and stir in approximately 7/8 cup milk (or 1/2 c. plus 6 tablespoons) using a fork. For richer biscuits, use half and half, or mix cream with milk.
Turn out onto a lightly floured board and knead for approximately 30 seconds, being careful not to over work the dough.
Roll into a circle 1/2'; thick. Cut into biscuits using a floured biscuit cutter or slice into wedges. Place on a baking sheet.
Press centers of biscuits with thumb or the back of a spoon, and brush lightly with cream or milk.
Bake in a preheated 450掳F oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Makes 10 to 12 large biscuits.

Ingredients:
* 225 g plain Flour
* 180 g Butter, softened
* 120 g Caster Sugar
* 100 g whole shelled Pistachio
* 100 g plain Chocolate drops
* 100 g White Chocolate drops
* 1 large Egg
* 1 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
Method:
* Preheat the oven to 180 C/ Gas mark 4.
* In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar together, then beat in the egg and mix well.
* Mix the flour with bicarbonate of soda and mix with the butter mixture.
* Add chocolate drops to the mixture.
* Line the baking tray with foil and put a spoonfuls of the cookie mixture on the foil, leaving enough distance between individual cookies.
* Cook in the oven for 15 minutes then remove the tray from the oven and leave it for 2 minutes before trying to remove the cookies.
* Serve the cookies cold with tea or a glass of cold milk.
A can of Pillsbury Southern Style biscuits...just pop the can, roll them out, and go!
Bisquick doesn't require butter. I would skip it all together if you don't have butter though, it's part of what makes the biscuts light and fluffy.

ANGEL BISCUITS
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
4 cups all purpose flour
1 cup cake flour
1 tablespoon powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup shortening
1 3/4 cup buttermilk
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Sprinkle the yeast over warm water and sugar, and allow to stand 5 minutes. Add buttermilk. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients thoroughly. Cut in shortening.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and slowly pour in the buttermilk mixture. Pat dough together and knead gently 10 times.
Do not overmix or the biscuits will be tough.
Roll out to 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch thickness. Cut out circles.
Place on greased cookie sheets with biscuits just touching each other, closely spaced.
Brush with a small circle of melted butter.
EASY EASY BISCUITS
2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 c. milk, at room temperature
Mix all together. Drop into greased muffin tin. Bake at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes.

QUICK AND EASY BISCUITS
2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. milk
6 tbsp. mayonnaise
Mix all ingredients and pour into a greased muffin pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until done.

1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
2/3 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
May be rolled on flour and cut or rolled by hand and flatten. Place in greased pan and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown at 425 degrees.
