To the basic butter milk biscuit recipe, add either shredded sharp cheddar cheese or bacon bits...or both! Bake as usual.

For gravy: you will need some fat, like bacon renderings or from sausage meat, add flour, blend, add milk and allow to thicken over low heat. A few drops of coffee makes it red-eye gravy!
I think I saw what you're looking for in this free recipe ebook.
Here is a simple white gravy and buttermilk biscuit

recipe that is very easy to make:

~White Gravy~

INGREDIENTS

* 1/2 cup vegetable oil

* 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

* 1 teaspoon salt

* 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

* 4 cups milk

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Cook and stir over medium heat until browned, about 10 minutes. Gradually stir in milk so that no lumps form, and continue cooking and stirring until thickened. If the gravy becomes too thick, you may thin it with a little more milk.

~Buttermilk Biscuits~

INGREDIENTS

* 2 cups self-rising flour

* 1/2 cup butter or margarine

* 2/3 cup buttermilk

DIRECTIONS

1. Cut butter into flour. Add buttermilk and stir.

2. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) for 10 minutes.
Get a box of Jiffy biscuit mix....they taste really good and not much can go wrong with that. for gravy, fry some breakfast meat of your choice, save the grease. If there isnt enough grease to coat the bottom of the pan then add some veggie oil to coat it. get some self rising flour and sprinkle it into the grease at least 2 tablespoons. fry the flour till it is slightly brown and then add 4-5 cups of milk to the mix, use a whisk and constantly stir until thick.
this can work
